These cards will be of a special design which won't require a battery, This is due to a new design which transfers the RAM data into an EEPROM built into the card each time it's powered down, as opposed to some cards which use a rechargeable battery which may truly only last for 10 years and then the whole card is unuseable. So we are real happy with this approach. You will 'never again' have to worry whether your battery will die in the middle of a gig or just after saving that great sound.

• We've been working on our web pages heavily this last several months. You should begin to see some new visual changes, as well as some new products.

• New Phat Trax Audio CD from drummer - Tom Parham, is an all new Acoustic Drum Loops CD, including some beat tracks from Larry Washington.

 

• Our Roland M512 type RAM cards stock dwindled to zero earlier this year. However, due to the many requests we have been receiving for them (as well as our own desire to support the many synths which require these cards), we have looked into having them manufactured by another company. We found one!

We've been busy!

• The SoundFont Banks Engine section has been going very well and we have some major enhancements in the works there. We added some 30 Loops & Patterns banks there a few months ago.

  Up and coming SoundFont banks in the 'Instruments' catagory will soon include the Steve Reid - Definitive Percussion Library, The Legacy - Definitive Analog Library, and several other sources of high quality banks. This takes time, so bear with us. We want to post the highest possible quality Instrument banks and will settle for nothing less.

• We still have RAM and ROM cards left, though few of the Roland M512 type RAM.

URGENT - MAJOR OEM's DISCONTINUE CARD MANUFACTURE 

LIMITED STOCK ONHAND!!

Unfortunately, we have some bad news. The ONLY manufacturers for Roland
and Korg RAM & ROM cards are discontinuing their manufacture of these
cards. They requested all companies which order these cards place a
final quota order. This we did in September. Once they are gone, that
will be the last availability of these cards worldwide.

This final quota may last us though the end of the year or possibly
slightly longer, depending on the orders we receive.

This will affect both our ROM Cards with Sounds and Blank RAM cards for
the following pieces of equipment;

ROLAND:
All Roland units requiring the Roland M-256E (or D) RAM;
JD-800, JD-990, JV-80, JV-880, D-70, D-50, D-550, D-10, D-110, D-20,
D-5, R-8 and any other unit calling for the M-256E (or D) cards.
Also Peavy synthesizers like the DPM-3.

All Roland units requiring the M-512E RAM;
VG-8, SUPER JV1080, JV2080 etc.


KORG:
All Korg units requiring the MCR-03 type RAM;

There may be some we have missed in the above lists so it would be wise
to check your manual.

• The new SoundFont Banks Engine with Digital Delivery is now online!

Listen to Real Audio demos of your favorite Instruments or Loops & Patterns Styles, then purchase & download them in minutes! These banks cover a wide variety of popular styles. They can be loaded into any Creative Awe32/64 and SoundBlaster Live card or OEM Awe32 equivalent. They are all just under 4 meg in size, so you will want to be sure you have 4 meg of RAM available. 

Also for Mod Trackers and anyone using many of the new applications which import Wav samples and loops, you can use these banks too. By obtaining any number of applications like Awave or Vienna, you can extract the Loop or Instrument samples from the banks and use them in your favorite Digital Multi-tracker.

We have designed a lossless compressor/archiver, which is a feature of our Digital Delivery System, which achieves almost a 50% reduction in SF2 file size. So downloading a 4 meg SoundFont bank will take on the average of only 10 minutes. The bank comes to you in a convenient self-extracting format. Just double-click on the file and extract it to your SoundFont directories... no other zipper applications to deal with!
